Museum of India to open in Melbourne

Federation of Indian Associations INC. (FIAV) officially opens Museum of India in Melbourne on August 15, 2014  at 4pm at 61-63 Foster Street &  Robinson Streets, Dandenong, VIC 3175.

Admission to the opening ceremony is by invitation only and will be conducted in the presence of Victorian Minister for Multicultural Affairs & Citizenship Hon. Matthew Guy along with the Mayor of the City of Greater Dandenong Cr Jim Memeti, and Ms Manika Jain, The Consul General of India in Melbourne and a host of  dignitaries  and community leaders.

Very few countries have a history of such richness and complexity of a culture and tradition as India. Some of the earliest signs of human civilisation have been found in India. All the incredible events will now be showcased in the forms of paintings and other artefacts  at  Museum India. Museum India will be an incredible catalyst for social interactions. These artefacts and paintings are  social objects will  give an opportunity for people from other multicultural communities to witness India’s rich cultural heritage.
