Celebrate Diwali, Festival of Lights at the Melbourne Immigration Museum

Melbourne’s Immigration Museum at 400 Flinders Street, Melbourne is celebrating Diwali – the Festival of Lights on October 20 from 6 to 11pm at night with Melbourne band ‘The Fifths’ with their unique blend of east meets west ‘Electro Pop Bollywood’ tunes that will be sure to make you dance.

Put on your dancing shoes and dress up in your favourite festive fashions Museum’s celebration of  Diwali!

Diwali Kids Fest:

Prior to that on October 15 from 11 am to 4pm families can take part in free family friendly Bollywood Dance Workshops presented in partnership with Confluence Festival.

There will be Indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family, no matter the weather, including rangoli, henna, kids craft and live performances by local dance groups and musicians.

Make sure you wear your favourite festival dress ups to be in the running to win a prize in the Best Dressed competition!
