As rain played hide and seek in the evening of autumn month May, I walked into Parravilla’s function lounge on Saturday 6, 2017 and was surprised to see the place packed to capacity. The theme for the night was ”˜Red Carpet Bollywood Night’ and all the ladies dressed in dazzling, glamorous outfits, no less than the Bollywood stars themselves!

The venue had a Bollywood ambience, decorated with Indian motifs and everyone   in the best of attire and jewellery, it just lifted spirits having heard of the recent cancellation of forthcoming film festival in Sydney scheduled on May 14.

The force behind Bollywood Ladies Night, Dolly Arora and Sarika Sahgal delivered a great show and they made sure that everyone witnesses a gobsmacking  show of  glitz and glamour a la bollywood. They welcomed everyone with a little gift. A great concept ”˜Bollywood Ladies Night’ the annual event was sold out a week prior and attended by a large number of ladies. The gracious Sakshi Kapoor and handsome Sahil Sood acted as MC’s for the evening. They welcomed the audience with humorous stories. Sakshi and Sahil were superb as they engaged the audience quite capably. Ladies were treated to Bollywood style entertainment followed by a delicious dinner. The whole evening was an interesting affair filled with lots of games, a dance performance, fashion show and the rest. Activities for women included a photo booth and there were many stalls selling jewellery, Indian outfits and beauty items. Highlight of the event was Desi Australia Photo booth corner that made every woman a star as they got their chance to get their photo clicked on the red carpet.
